David McCullough, “Citizen Chronicler”

Labeled the “citizen chronicler” by United States Congress Librarian James Billington, McCullough is the recipient of 2 Pulitzer Prizes, 2 National Book Awards, 2 Francis Parkman Prizes and the nation’s highest civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, justifiably deeming him America’s foremost narrator of it’s past.

Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy – Eric Metaxas

So far this year, my book list has included some of the most enjoyable reading I’ve experienced in years. Earlier this year, I delved into Eric Metaxas biography of the great theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, after being prompted by the subject frequently arising in recent discussions.
