Having recently read “To Kill a Mockingbird”, this story is oddly similar in that it portrays social injustice in the deep south. The difference being that this story takes place over a half a century later in modern society.

The ConfessionThe Confession by John Grisham
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Another page turner by the master of the legal thriller, at times I had to remind myself that The Confession is a work of fiction. Or is it? Many of Grisham’s works, as well as most fictional stories, are rooted in actual experiences by the author.

This book is about an extremely sensitive topic that can make a person angry at the legal system in this country as well as society as a whole.

Grisham certainly has a way to control the tempo of the story, and can make the reader’s blood boil if the reader allows.
